I am a newb, and had posted this to the newb forum. They suggested I ask the experts too! Sorry for the duplication, but I did add a question at the end...

This morning, when the lights came on in the aquarium, my Feather Duster started issuing a billowing discharge. Like a cloud or a puff of smoke - which would rise in the water column and then dissipate. It probably did this several dozen times. I tried to get a picture of it, but depth of field issues, dirty aquarium glass, and an unskilled photographer made it very difficult to get a good shot of the "smoke". Attached is the best I could get...
Anyone know what this is? Do I need to get it a girlfriend?

Can this worm reproduce individually? Or would it need another in the tank to make babies? He is alone, but if babies do come about, do I need to worry? Remove them?

tagging along on this one, i had this happen with a feather duster in my 14g and shortly after had a crash. I always blamed it on this same action in my tank.
