A friend's tank cracked and he asked me to take what was left alive. One was this (I believe) LTA.

What breed is it?

I dont know what you mean by breed, but it is indeed a Long Tentacled Anemone (M. doreensis)

Sorry if I am confused. I thought Crispa were also very similar looking and sometimes referred to as an LTA (which was all the info I was given)

Actually I'm pretty certain that is a sebae(h. crispa)
LTA has a red foot.
How the heck did you get such a large photo on here?!LOL

This pic shows the under side of my crispa, pretty much identical.

The very base of the foot is red.

Large photo... by accident actually. There was some sort of error when I uploaded. :)

If it has a reddish base, I would say LTA (Macrodactyla doreensis).

The original pic is M. doreensis. It's not crispa.

So looking at the photo of the Crispa example, am I right in saying that Crispas have bumps (not sure of the technical term) down the column? Do they go all the way down or just around the underside of the disc?

The technical term is "verrucae". No, they don't go all the way down. Doreensis verrucae and arranged in obvious rows. Crispa verrucae are more random in placement.

Ignore the whole in the foot --- this shows the verrucae for a Doreensis.

Great shot Todd. Kinda hard to ignore the hole in the foot though. It looks like a rabbit.

Holy cow, I have had the picture for years now, and never noticed that it looks like a rabbit, and it totally does.
