Got my 1st acan and a brain coral :) Where should I place them?

Both do well in the sand moderate flow. And just don't shade them. Great deal btw. Nice carals

Very nice! The acans are sweet!

As mentioned, sand is a good spot but the acans can also be placed on rocks sitting on the sand or lower in the tank where flow isn't too high.

Typically brains do best on the sand substrate where sharp rock can't damage the flesh. Acans can either be on the sand or rock.

However your lighting info is no help since we don't know how deep your tank is.

tank is 23" deep and light is 7-8" away from tank

Brain should be fine but the acan could lose color at the distance if it's on the substrate.
