Mine are from ESV. I have one in the sump and one in the main tank. :)

Grounding probes are just pieces of metal you put in your tank with a wire you connect to a ground. The easiest way of doing this is with a plug-in model. There really isn't much else to it, except that you don't want the metal to be something that corrodes easily.

Mine is a plug into the wall Titanium Ground Probe. There like $15 each and it's best to have one in the tank and one in the sump.

People do make a DIY from titanium bicycle spokes, but commmercial ones are cheap enough.

If it was installed correctly, the metal outlet box should be tied to a true ground. If so, that would be fine, but you'd be prudent to check it first.

Just go to your LFS and buy one of the titanium ones. If they were expensive I'd say go ahead and fab one up but they're cheap enough that it's really not worth the effort.
