You are right, that was cool. Unless you were the damsel, then is was not so cool.

I have video somewhere of a negripes feeding a large silverside to its anemone in a public aquarium at feeding time. I cant for the life of me get it to upload though.

interesting. That damsel was not well to begin with right when the clip starts.

I used to have a very similar anemone that actually hosted a damsel. A domino damsel.

damsel is already half dead. no way the clown could do that and its my understanding most damsels are immune to anemone stings and sometimes host them as well. remember clowns are part of the damsel family.

very cool. My 2 tomatoes will grab some of the cubed food I put in my tank for the tangs and feed the cubes to my anemones. They will carry the cubes across the tank and drop them right in to the anemones. I was really shocked the first time I saw it and wondered if it was a mistake. The second time I saw them do it, I realized there was a method to their madness. I will have to record it one of these days. Whats also amazing is how fast the anemones can move the cube from anywhere on them to their mouth. Within 30 seconds, the food will disapear into the belly regardless of where it lands on them.

I'm pretty sure I've seen a damsel host in a bta before...

anyone else have any info on that? since they are in the same family

ok, that's what I thought. I wonder why this particular one was unable to escape

I was kinda thinkin the same thing. That damsel had to be 3/4 dead anyway. +1 on damsels being able to withstand anemone stings. Same family as clowns.

What a strange tank. Mixed species of clowns, bubble stones, bleached anemone.

I lost a chromi to a power head so figured id feed it to my nem, as soon as i got him out the power head my female clarki raced over, put the death grip on the chromie and dragged it off to the anemone. I didnt know if I saw what I thought I saw untill this video. Thanks!
