Well after deciding against MH's and going with 4 IC 660 Retro kits now it's time to pick out the bulbs.

Since these are my first T5's and this will be my first attempt at reef keeping I thought I'd seek advice on the lighting config. The plan is to start simple with low maint soft corals and eventually add few hard corals (if possible).

Planned inhabitants:
1 - 30+" Dragon Moray eel
3-4 Dozen various Chromis / Damsels
Various cleaning Crabs and snails

Planned Corals:
Kenya
Colt
Xenia
Zoos
Star Polyps
Mushrooms
Leathers
Monti Caps (up top of ledges)
Others are still TDB

I will have 16 T5's about 9-10" above the water surface in a hood.

I plan on staggering the bulbs blue white blue white front to back. Then rewiring the ballasts or moving the caps so I can run blues on one ballast and whites on another for Dawn/Dusk timers.

Now I just need to figure out what bulbs to get. Can someone advise on bulb configurations or better brand bulbs?

Front of tank:
Bulb 1 - ?
Bulb 2 - ?
Bulb 3 - ?
Bulb 4 - ?
- 2 Current Lunar LED's running the length of the tank about every foot -
Bulb 5 - ?
Bulb 6 - ?
Bulb 7 - ?
Bulb 8 - ?
Back of tank

Duplicated on other 4' side.

Here is how I planned on restructuting the rock in the tank to build to ledges for up high corals and to build several caves for the eel.
