Just curious does anyone in here uses SPS (South Pacific Sunlight)Bulbs.
I brought two 250w 14K SPS Bulbs today and I think I like the color it gives out. Its bluer than the 10K I had but now I wonder if I get a 20K SPS will it be bluer and will it still help with the coral growth or not? Anyways I have hear so many different opinions about different types of MH bulbs that I can't help but to be confused.

Yes the 20k bulb willbe bluer, and most likely growth will be less because of lower par values.

So in conclusion I'm best sticking with a 10 to14k bulbs if I want growth. Thanks!

I'm with you on this one. I would really love to have a bluer look to my tank / SPS corals, but most of my corals are pretty small right. I have 2x250w 14k lights right now supplimented with Actinic T5's so the color isn't too bad, but the growth is pretty good.
I plan on waiting about a year since my current bulbs are only a couple months old. By then my tank should be matured and filled in, so then I will switch to 20k MH's for the color. Growth won't be as important once I get some corals up to a bigger size.
