That yellow fish is a candy spot hogfish which I don't believe is a wrasse. Beautiful fish though

I've got two right now that get along fine in my 90 gallon. A Yellow Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus) and a Six-Line Wrasse. Sorry, I don't have any photos at the moment. They don't stay still long enough to get a good photo.

I have at least 20 wrasses now, and will probably get 10+/- more, as soon as my 450g upgrade is ready.

Looking for pics of people's wrasses. Like to see what people have, not your average wrasses.

I have 3 in a 40 gal and I´m very surprised to see they get along perfectly, they don´t even fight, so I´m gonna add 3 more.

three black leopard wrasses ,chevron tang, temricki fairy wrasse ,copperband b fly, 2 female bipartus, and a yellow tail tamrin wrasse. yes they are mostly finiky eaters but have come to like the PE MYSIS and cyclopeeze .the twister wrasse is a picker so i always supplement with tiger pods once a week . they all seem to get enough as you can see they are fat . my skimmer is always pumping out goo too !

Dave, where did you buy this guy at? I've only seen a handful and they've never looked good enough for me to buy one. Please send me info via PM if you know a way I can get some.

iamwrasseman I wan to live at your house. Where did you get your chaeoti leopard pair? I have wanted a pair forever. I am going for a wrasse dominant tank in my 93 cube. All smaller wrasses of course. Really nice collection you have there. I had a really nice collection myself, but my previous skimmer malfunctioned while I was gone for a week and it pored over 30 gallon of saltwater overflowing in my 5 gallon waste bucket. Dropped my salt level down drastically lost everything. And I had to get a new tank because the water on the carpet warped my 72 bow stand so much that it cracked my tank. Losing my female bluestar and clowns was the hardest loss. :sad1::sad1:
The bluestar leopard and chaoti leopard to this day are my favorite fish.
I learned that I need to get a float valve to automatically shut off my skimmer if the waste bucket is full.
You learn through mistakes.

reefobsession ,there are a few available online at blue zoo pretty regularly when they are in season .our fall/winter is aussies summer and they are usually in stock then . first you have to be forewarned that they are extremely delicate and very hard to get acclimated to aquarium life . you cant QT them or they are certain to die quickly as they cant handle that type of stress . also they should usually be the first introduced in a well established pod filled tank as they are pickers that need to forge for food all day long . they require multiple feedings throughout the day and evening . they don't fare well with any competition for food or territory very well either . but if you can get past all that they are awesome fish and amazing to "borrow" from the ocean as not very many live for prolonged periods in captivity . they are an extremely tough fish to fare well but it is possible . their demise is usually predetermined by how they are collected and handled through out the collection process . you are very fortunate if you can get them past the first month but after that they will adjust to home aquaria life . again large tank ,plenty of pods in a well established tank and its best if they are in a "quiet" setting without competition of any sort . i have spent thousands in an attempt to have a survivor and its a very tough battle . if you want more info on these guys find the "leopard wrasse primer"tread and read up on the necessary requirements for them . also there is another tread "choati leopard ? " and i cant think of the last word in the tread but if your really interested pm me and i will get it to you as i am all for helping any way i can . thanks for the interest and please do get well informed if your really gonna try them as they usually are around $250 each at blue zoo . good luck to ya too !
