Hi guys, i'm about to add a fuge to my nano tank. The tank is run as a kind of refugium display/frag tank. It does'nt use a skimmer and all levels are where they should be, so the new fuge isn't needed for filtration.
I'd like to create a natural source of food for the tank and was wondering the best way to go about it.
The fuge itself is split into two 5L containers. The first one will have some live rock on a shelf, up off the bottom. The second will again have the live rock shelf and this time a dsb.
What would you add to the first chamber as a base layer? i was thinking possibly mud, but as i'm not going to have algae, is there much of a beneft?
I could always run another dsb.
Any thought would be greatfully recieved.
