I just bought a refractometer off E-bay that measures in percent instead if S.G. What percent of salt should I be looking for. Thanks.

Does it read in ppt, read as o/oo?
Seawater is 35.
Does that fit?
If so, I'd buy a seawater standard (53 mS/cm from Pinpoint = 35 ppt) or make your own (with a good balance) to confirm its accuracy (it will be off if, as expected, it is a salt refractometer (off by 1.7 ppt at 35 ppt)0.

Yes, my 125 gal. mixed reef had a reading of 34. I will use your Homemade Calibration Standards to test results. Thank you Randy, Don.
