I'm replacing a mj 1200 (for my 29 gallon) that is on deaths door with a koralia and was curious if I should go with the 1 or the nano. The mj1200 combined with my sump return I'm getting about 700 gph and have been having issues with trenches being cut into my sand, there is such a fine line between getting flow over the sand and piling it all up into a mound. From the looks of it the koralia is a little easier to position and adjust since it moves 360 degrees. Thanks for any input.

i have a 1 & does not put off much flow at all imo. never had a nano. i think a 1 would be closer to mj 1200.to me they are eaiser to move & adjust with magnet mounting
i have a 1, 3 & 4. good pump for price

I have a K1 and a K2 in my 29 and it is not "a lot" of flow for SPS. I wish I had more:

I would get a K2

Great looking tank! I see that you have your powerheads much higher then I have mine, I'm assuming you still get enough flow on the substrate to keep things clean? I'm pretty new at the reef deal and location of powerheads has been one of my tougher issues, I'm either getting junk piling up on the sand or cutting trenches and blowing sand everywhere. Thanks for the input.

+1 on the K2

I have 2 x K1 in my 30, and it wasn't enough. I added a modded MJ-900. Wish I had just gone with 2 x K2
