i have an area in my sump that is not in use and was thinking about making a frag rack and moving my sps frags down to this section. it is 18 inches by
9 1/2 inches and 9 inches deep. what would be the best lighting for this? i have a tek t-5 fixture on my tank. i have sorta been looking at the jbj viper clamp on fixtures. good idea? or any other ideas?

i would use a 70w halide or a 150 halide pendant

I would definitely go with the 150w pendant or jbj fixture. The 70w fixture you will have to keep your corals extremely close to in order for it to be useful. I keep a 150w pendant with a phoenix 14k bulb over the frag section in my tank, and it is perfect. I use a 56kk 70w viper fixture for the chaeto :). Good luck deciding.
