I found this at my LFS but they don't know what it is so I turned to the experts. :)

Each "tube" moves around SLOWLY kinda like a sea cucumber but the bases are attached to the rock. But they can stretch out and get skinny or shrink down and get fat and face different directions. It happens too slowly to watch but every hour or so it becomes evident they have moved.
