wich in your opion is the easiest and cheapest to use to maintain calcium and alk not sure wich way to go when i get to that point

more info is needed, size of tank , stock ie tuype of corals.

155 gallon tank probably mix lps and sps just planning ahead right now 2 part is sufficent

The problem with just using a Kalk reactor is that if you have good water evep your pH could get high. Oh the other hand, if you use just a Ca reactor your pH could go low.

I've found a kalk reactor will not raise Ca and Alk levels in a well stocked tank, a Ca reactor will.

If I had a well stocked tank and had a choice of only one it would be a Ca reactor.

FWIW, I have always used both.

Okay thanks i kinda figure that be what i hear tryin to keep things as low cost as possible

I use both on my tank. Ca reactor would be my first choice if I could only have 1
