I have noticed in a few spots some small green feather dusters appearing.. Should i be concerned? They look like small feather dusters i guess and have about 5 or 6 in a spot. Anyone experience this?

Are the spots on the feathers or the tube? What color are the spots and how big? Got a pic?

feather dusters per say are a sign of a healthy tank..but I have never seen green ones so a picture would really help. Is it possibly a type of algae, or do they actually retract?

Well, feayher dusters are good. If that's what they are then there shouldn't be a reason to worry.

they are hydroids and should be removed if possible..be careful if I am not mistaken they can sting never have had to deal with them myself..yet anyways..;)

Edit: at least I am pretty sure that is what they are.

They are tiny. Can anyone confirm that these are bad? If so what method would be best to remove them

Hydroids. they can sting corals, and spread very rapidly. You should get rid of them asap. I get them with tweezers, making sure to get the hard tube.
