Put in bird's nest about 3 weeks ago. A couple days ago I noticed that the stems of the coral are turning brown. Looked great in the tank it came out of. My other corals, leather, gsp, blastos shrooms look great. Tank is a 75 with an ATI 4X54 with 6 month old bulbs. Photo period has been about 6 hours/day. Alk has always been tough for me to keep up. Usually around 7 dkh. Ca 410, salinity 1.025. Also the cap coral I added at the same time is dieing on the edge. Temp is 81 degrees.

This is a very forgiving sps coral you must be loaded with nutrients me thinks. Are you runing a skimmer. what kind? Are you over stocked?
dkh of 7 is not bad, I try to keep mine at 9. Try to keep it stable with a 2 part alk. ca.
6 hrs? I would do 8 min. Place it high in the tank.

I have a skimmer and canister filter with chemi pure and phos zorb. I will give it a longer photo period and see what happens. Coral is a little over half way up (super glued there). Thanks for the recommendation.
