Hey lads,
Bought my self a tunze master electronic that kicks 8,300lph at a low price gbp 170 brand new cause i thought it was a bargain but after doing my research for the past couple of days i found out that many people aren't satisfied with this pump(noise, breakdowns etc) After my research i checked out these brands: RED DRAGON. ATB FLOWMASTER, MSX, REEFLO, EHEIM)
I want a quiet pump ans sufficient pump for my 350g system, RED DRAGON's seem to be the best one's out there but they're so expensive that i just think that they're overpriced.(I know these are super quit but da*n!)
Any one that has experience with ATB's or MSX(Marine solutions)?(I've heard that these pumps use the same design as the RD's but much more cheaper and very quiet as well. EHEIMS seem to be a good option too but i would need at least 3 1262 to do my job done which i think it's too many and i don't know if these are quit as well)
Please HELP!!!

I used a Eheim 1260 and loved it. Very quiet and cost effective.

Yeas but the problem is that ther highest flow rate is 3400lph and so i will be needing three of these and hat will consume a lot of space in my sump

From what I have noted most 200 plus gallon systems use external pumps.
If you can modify your system to accomidate I'd recommend a Pan World in the size and voltage you require. Marine depot.com has the specs on the different sizes. They are very powerful, longlasting and quiet compared to other pumps in their class. Again, that is if you can modify the system to use an external pump.
My big build is using 1 PS200 and 1 PS250 with one part of the system consisting of around 350 gallons, and the other in the 450 range all dumping into one large sump.
Since the panworlds are available all over the world you should be able to find a vendor.

I use a Dolphin amp master 3000 on my 220. Balled down and T'd off to run carbon and circulation throughout the sump.

You can't beat the Red Dragon - low current draw, silent, reliable, and calcium can't stick to the components. I currently use an external Reeflo, but you can bet your potatoes that I'll be getting a Red Dragon when the Reeflo dies.

I was actually going to buy the universal series of eheim because i think the 5000 will be a bit noisy if the output is at max

Are you happy with the noise and the flow ?Quietest pump I have ever heard-or lack of-my skimmer has a Sedra5000 which is twice as loud as the Flowstar.Happy with the flow it produces, might even have to turn it down a hair on my 100g

That's nice i'll send the an e-mail for a quotation at once:) One irrelevant question. Is it correct to get a bigger pump and use your skimmer and chiller with that flow all connected to one pump? Ore you have to get a seperate pump for the skimmer and the chiller?

-Red dragon all the way:thumbsup:
-most skimmers come with its own pump which designed for skimming purpose.
-I would T off your return and add ball val to feed your chiller.
