Before I buy an inexpensive bit that turns to be a waste, I thought I'd ask here.

I'm thinking of buying a 1 3/4" bit for drilling bulkhead holes.

I know you can get them on Ebay all day long. Are they worth it?

Where did you get yours? I may drill 50 holes in 5 years with this bit, so "medium" duty I guess.

I did buy mine off of ebay for like $14(I think) and worked great. However, I've only used it for drilling one hole so far. I think if I was planning on drilling 50 holes a year I would still try the one on ebay and see how long that one would last. What the heck, it's only $14!

50 holesis going to require one of he expensive bits. Better off buying a cheap one from BRS that is good for about 6-10 holes

Ah, thanks.

How many holes are people getting out of the Ebay ones?
