Hello.
I just added a BRS standard ORP probe to my system about 2 weeks ago. I have the probe mounted in my sump and its at least 6" from all other probes.
I am using the Apex controller.
The first few days the probe was giving out very low ORP readings varying from 65 to 120 or so. I was initially stumped but then researched a bit and found out that the probes will need to "break in".
Around the 3rd or 4th day the probe seemed to "break in" and I started geting consistant believable readings of 200-230 mv throughout the day. I thought to myself ok well Im low on redox potential but at least its consistant and I can address it.
About 3-4 days ago the probe dropped to the 65-100 reading again and stayed that way for a a day or two. Now, for the last two days it has stayed at 000 for a reading.
Thinking maybe something was stuck to the probe I gave it a good shake in the water last night and again this morning it reads 000.
What is going here? Any else have this problem?
