I am almost out of carbon and was thinking of going with BRS rox carbon. Maybe we can put a bulk order together? Maybe someone still has access to the club discount with BRS?v

How does this compare to their bituminous and lignite carbon? How about ESV carbon which is what I currently use. ESV is 4 lbs for around $25 or so. Think that's why I paid from John.
The ROX would be only 3lbs for around $36.

Here you go

I would go for Lignite if more want to go down that path. The difference in shipping between 3lbs and 15lbs is just a few dollars, so the more we buy the cheaper it is.
This carbon is really nice (potent) IMO, but it is very fine to the point of getting into the pores of the sponges in the reactors and somewhat clogging them. I'd be up for some, I just finished my last bit today.

Chris, this is the link if you want to start a gb with BRS. I am in if you want to start on the buy for carbon. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/Group-and-Club-Buys
Also, if you have registered on BRS on the previous GB, then you can log in and your prices will be adjusted on many items already. I believe it is a 10-20% discount if you are a registered club member with them. (preferred customer status)

Just send them an email. I had the same thing happen to me after our last buy. They had me re-register and they changed my status once I was back in there.

I'd go for the lignite but the ROX is a bit much for me.

If you watch the video from BRS they show how well it works. My hope is to be able to buy a 15lbs or more pal, that way if someone only wants one lbs they can get that. Shipping from BRS starts at $8 so 3lbs of ROX will cost $50 where if we can get a 15lbs pal it should drop it to $39 for 3lbs. I am waiting to hear back from BRS on my preferred price so the price may go down even more.
If anyone wants I will also start a Group Buy with BRS that will give you great pricing and move your account to preferred price. We will need 10 people that want to join in before we can move forward on it. Let me know.

Sounds like I great way to get ROX 0.8!! I love Bulk Reef Supply I just bought my own ROX carbon from them or I would be all over this. Good luck with your deal. I think it was either Randy or Boomer who found this carbon for our hobby. BRS started to sell it after his discovery.
