ASM G2 Protein Skimmer

i use the g1x for my 90, gallon. From what ppl say its suppose to be the best skimmer, bang for the buck. Its my first tank, so i have nothing to compare it to. Althou it does pull out alot of stuff from the water.

i have a G2 but i just upgraded to a sicce powered bubblemaster.....the G2's are good skimmers although only thing i would say is to really make these skimmers decent, meshmod the impeller, and gatevalve it night and day difference (i ran it on 90gal+60gal sump)

How much is everything all together Burtonpj48. Sump and all. How many gallons. I have the same skimmer to put on a 75 sps, and I'm hoping its big enough. As far as ASM goes, I have read pretty good reviews on them for the price. You could go bigger, and spend a lot more. I think your best bet is to find a used skimmer that has good reviews and get it. There was a guy in my area at the last swap selling a g3 for 80$. Crazy... could kick myself.

My G2 is long gone, old technology. For the money IMO there are much better skimmers.
