Cynobacteria

Hello,could someone please post a cynobacteria pic.I think I have some in my tank,but I'm not sure because I'm a newbie.Thanks

It'll look like anything from a red or brown stain on your sand to a thick sheet that looks like dark-raspberry colored silk with air bubbles in it. It doesn't really hurt anything, but if you turn the lights out tomorrow and leave them off for 3 days and it goes away, that's what it is. Lights-out is the best cure for it, but don't do it oftener than once a month.

do a google image search for it...you cant miss it lol.

Dont confuse it with just plain old diatoms though...for some reason there's a few pictures of that whenever you search for it. red slime is a lot thicker
