is it possible to use this product for attaching rocks to each other for aquascaping? Is it adhesive enough to hold large rock pieces together or not?
If not what else to use to have rocks glued to each other?

I used waterfall foam from Home Depot, it worked great, solid hold. To make it more interesting I used zip-ties first to make cool structures, then covered up the zip-ties with the foam. To make the foam look natural, after it dried, I tore it up by hand then used z-poxy and covered it with crushed coral. I have made some really interesting pieces.

can you use the foam without the poxy treatment after just to glue the rocks to each other?

yeah you dont need the epoxy if you use pond foam, but it will be black and rocks wont be, it wont look like one big piece of rock. unless thats what your going for

it will only be black and white for so long....the rock will cycle and change color in a few months.

if you use pond foam to "glue" the rocks togeather....the rocks must be dry for the foam to adhere to them. also the foam must be fresh...if it skins over you will have a harder time.

i would also only do it with rocks under 5lbs.

what else would be a better alternative then? Hard epoxy and superglue?

drill them and use acrylic rod or PVC to keep in place and then use the foam to fill in the gaps

unless your using wet rock, then you got to just rely on the epoxy
