I am thinking of building a small (16x14) very simple (2 chambers with only a bubble trap) acrylic sump for my 30G build.... I have never tried to glue acrylic before and am very leary of using the water thin weld on #3 or #4 and feel safer with the #16... question is which is the recommended adhesive and/or is 16 good for a first timer?

I built similar size tank to store RO/DI for an auto-fill tank, Used only Weld-On number # 16 and it worked great for a rookie. The thin stuff is only for exact cut edges and some expertise. Good idea to run a bead of #16 up each edge to ensure proper seal after the initial glued cured for few hours.
