I am intertaning the thought of dosing vodka & vinegar.
Been reading about it and am wondering if I can add these to my two part and dose them at the same time with my doser after i have reached the maintenance stage.
Thanks
Vic

They can be dosed with limewater, for example. The usual issue with dosing is that the amount to be added is small, and vodka and vinegar can't be diluted with plain water because bacteria can start acting on them if the concentration drops much.

So if I dilute prior to dosing they could be of no effect. Did I get that right?

Yes, if they're diluted for long enough, the vinegar and alcohol will be consumed by bacteria. A few minutes is fine; a few hours might be okay.

I guess now I need to be willing to dose daily before I take the plunge.
Thank you so much.

I have started going one step further. I am dosing Vodka, Vinegar and Sugar. I have started two weeks ago. Gradually increasing dose. Nitrates have been continual issue with water changes and the tank not overcrowded. Also control feeding to ensure I am not overfeeding. So far things looking better.
