Hey,

My set-up has been running for about 15 months now, I build my overflow using regular Home Depo black 2" plumbing tube.

This stuff IS reef safe, right?

thanks,
Ray

I wouldnt be concerned. Whats it made out of??? There should be some letters on it some where. Such as PVC or HDPE.

I believe that you're talking about ABS pipe. (it's a lot easier to find here in Canada than PVC)

From what I understand, it is reef safe.

Thanks guys!

Yes it's ABS. The only inscriptions I see are, ABS, SA, B181.1, AUG and Made In Canada.

I would be more concerned with your stand design. Is that an optical illusion?

Yeah, the image does not show how it's built.

I built it into the wall, so the whole 60" of the front of the tank is supported by the wall. Basically it's sitting in the wall on a 3/4 ply that has a 2x4 frame built below it, 1 4x4 supporting the center and 2 4x4's supporting the rear.

There was a reason I didn't have the rear 4x4's at the extremity but i can not remember why.

The house will come down before the tank does :-)
