Well got in the baby queen trigger from divers den today. She came in in rough shape.Water was ice cold and she was upside down.I ended putting her right in ( what they said to do at live aquaria ).She has been swimming since letting her out of the bag.She is a little skittish and hides when you come in the room. But other than that she seems ok.She sis eat a couple pieces of mysis about a hour in the tank. She has a couple white spots on her but it could be from stress from the cold water. She is in a 55 grow out tank with a small cow fish and a small red emperor snapper. She is just under 2 inches from nose to end of tail.I have never seen one this small.I had one about 2.5 inches but this one is smaller. So hear are a few pics.

Good thing it was an atlantic fish. The cold water could have sent it into shock. Remember, they do get pretty big.

Nice looking fish :) It looks a lot like a goldheart at that size, just a little snazzier.

Considering the stress it went through those markings are very vivid. Congrats on the nice acquisition.

Is it uncouth to ask how much she was?

It was $129 plus ship off diver's den. That is the same price I paid a year ago for my 5" queen trigger. They will continue to climb in price as they are becoming harder to find.

Well she is doing great.Out and about and swimming fine.I feed mysis, brine and omniviore diet from instant ocean and she went nutz and ate like a pig.And i put a half of a clam in there and she piged out on that also.I can't figure out who ate more, my red emperor snapper or her.

Hate to say it but that emperor snapper will grow much faster than the queen trigger will and produce more waste than humans do. Seriously.

Yeah i know. When he gets about 6 inches he will go into the 210.And when he out grows that.I have a buddy that has a 600 gallon shark tank that he will go to.So he already has a home when he gets too big.Hate to say it but that emperor snapper will grow much faster than the queen trigger will and produce more waste than humans do. Seriously.
