For me it's that new IO Gel food. Liveaquaria is giving out a free package with any live order and while my fish like the food it makes my foam head collapse for hours. Unlike any other food or additive I've ever put in my tank. I'm sure it has something to do with altering the surface tension but it is not something I like to have happen and thus I'll only feed this stuff once a week at the most.

I got some of that food also. It seems pretty decent. I didn't notice my skimmer not skimming, but I didn't really look for it either.

But I dose some Polyp Lab supplements, and the bacteria (Genesis) makes the foam head collapse very fast.

All I have to do is put my hand in the tank and the head collapses within a few minutes every time... these AquaC skimmers are pretty sensitive to oils in the water.

A water change or the power switch. Even when knocked down from feeding it collects foam in the neck.

Rinsed mysis have zero effect on my skimmer.
