next month the homeowners association has voted to have our building tented and treated for termites. i have a 90 gallon reef tank and was wondering do i need to break my tank down or are their any alternatives?

please advise!!

Fogging and tenting are 2 completely different situations. Just covering it will NOT work if they are tenting for termites. Tenting will generally take from 24-72 hrs and your tank would be oxygen deprived if completely sealed off, likely crashing the system. If you are even thinking about leaving the tank in place and sealing it up you will need to figure out a way to get fresh air to the system while it's sealed without letting any of the gas in. The gas used is also much more toxic and will permeate any porous material so make sure that whatever you use to cover it cannot be penetrated by the gas used to fumigate.
