I have a 55 gallon and had a question on my powerhead placement. Currently I have 2 MJ 1200, 1 MJ 900, and Mag350 Canister filter. The current flow setup I have looks something like this:

/-----------------------------------------
/| CF MJ /|
/ | / \ / |
/ | V √ / |
|----------------------------------------| MJ|
| | <-- |
| | | |
|MJ--> | |
| | | |
| | | |
| | | |
| | | |
| | | |

I still have some dead spots in the back of the tank at the bottom corners. I am not sure how to position the powerheads to reduce the deadspots without blowing sand everywhere.

Any suggestions?

Apparently the drawing did not show up correctly. I have a MJ 1200 on the left side blowing cross the front of the tank. I have a MJ 1200 on the right side towards the back pointed across the center of the tank. The Other MJ and the Mag350 are on the back of the tank (towards the center) pointed towards the sides of the tank. All of them are on the top third of the tank.

If you could swing a vortech mp40, you could literally put 1 pump anywhere in a 55 gallon tank and get awesome flow everywhere.Believe me I know the are crazy expensive but they are well worth the money.

do u have the upgrade kits to get 2100 gph out of the MJ1200's? I have 2 modded and they are on a simple waver timer powerstrip and that helps out alot.

I have a Seio M1100 in my 56 gallon cube. it's placed on the left side facing towards the top front corner of the right side of the tank and i get flow everywhere. cost was around 60.00 for one.

I do not have the upgrade kits. Is that something simple for the MaxiJets?
