I bought a naso tang last week. it is 6-7 inches and its still not eating for some reason. It races to the algae that I put in the tank but then backs off and every other fish eat it. I don't think it feels threatened or anything because my other fish are around 4 inches. I feed the fish mysis, formula 1, and pellets. Any idea on how to get this guy eating and why its not eating? I really like this fish and i don't want it dying on me because of starvation. Thanks.

try a fresh clam - I got my very shy collare to eat it, but my problem will soon become that it's the only thing he eats.

See if it goes for it - if it does at least that will give you some piece of mind ... good luck!

the guy who i bought it from said it was eating romane lettuce in his tank so i will try the lettuce first and see if it goes for it.

Can I ask why you did not qt it to get it to eat in a stress free enviroment?

the guy i got it from actually quarantined it for me because unfortunately, i don't have a quarantine tank setup.

i do soak food in garlic but it just races in to the food and then backs off. I asked les about it and he said give it some romane lettuce and they usually will not eat for about a week because of shipping stress.

I got 7 inch blonde naso tang and it took him about 10 days to eat. He eats mysis

flakes, and pellet and he loves black worms.
