Hey guy's and gals,

Sorry if there is a better place to put this but I couldnt find one, Mods moved to where it needs to be if this isnt right. My wife and I took a trip to Springfield last weekend and were going to stop by a couple LFS and one of them were closed. Planet Coral, the sign on the door said "closed until further notice". How dissapointing, I really liked that place. Nice helpful people with a good stock. Im not sure what happened, my only guess is slow business. I tried to pump some info from the guy working at cichlids and salt but he was no help. Does anyone have any other ideas of a good lfs around central MO?

I think there is one in Columbia.

Try the Slash forums in the reef club area. Chelsey lives down your way she knows all the stores.

Great! Ill keep that in mind. LOL. I looked at the bottom of the forums page but the central mo section hadnt had a post in over 30 days. Looks like were slacking. Thanks for the info. I have been to Fin and Feather in Columbia, they seem like they will be a great store, I just like to have a few options.

Just moved back from AZ. The fish store Paradise Pets is still here, did not have much to look at. Have not made it to Jeff City or Columbia yet. Will start my frag tank in a month so by mid summer I will be ready for trading and selling, maybe sooner, with a little luck. Would like to get in with the local clubs for a meet and greet if any are available. All are welcome to post, email or call me. Great to be back, can't say I enjoy the cold, it has been a rude awakening coming from the desert.

Paradise Pets, I believe Ive been there but dont remember much about it. Jeff City doesn't have much. Columbia has a couple that I know of Noahs pets and Fin and Feather. The latter is a nice place as was Noahs but they haven't had much the last few times ive been there. Let me know how the frag tank is going.

Jeff has a "new pet" store on the boulevard and the guy was setting up his salt water when I stopped in. I'll let you judge him when he gets established.
From what I remember is there maybe one still left in Columbia. And Carasel Pets may still be open in Jeff.

Weve got friends that swear by that place, were going to have to try it. Back on topic, we went to YenChin's tonight in Jeff and I stopped by CJ's Pets. He was still getting his saltwater tanks in order but it looks like he's going to have a good setup for around here. Ill be curious to see what livestock he will be able to carry. He's got good prices on IO salt.

Aquarium Wholesale in Olathe, KS (which is right outside of KC, MO) is worth a look if you're near the area. I know it's not exactly central MO, but hey. He's got a lot of great frags in stock and is always willing to work out some deals.

Ahh crap, really? I didnt get that from him just talking to him for a little bit but I have had that happen before. Go into a place, the owner is nice and then 2 weeks later go in and he's an overpriced, mis-informed no it all @#$. We will just have to see.

Next time Im in KC Ill check that place out, thanks for the info.
