I have a green slimer that I gave too much light and as a result turned white on over half of the body (upper half). The lower half of the body went almost a light brown. Well now after some time the coral has started to grow again and the polyps are coming back with a very nice green, but its on top of the white (thought dead?) part. Do I frag it by cutting just below the part with color and growing? How big should I let it get before I frag it?

Is there flesh on the white part? i.e. is it bleached vice gone? If bleached, it can recover (sometimes takes up to a year to fully recover). If there is just skeleton, go ahead and frag it off. If the edge of the dead coral has already healed, I wouldnt cut it unless necessary, if there is damage between the two sections, cut into clean flesh. If it was me, I would probably leave it. To me, the coral is spending all of its energy on recovering, there is no need to further stress it. But thats just me.
(enough ifs in one message?)
