Sailfin tang that is about 3 to 4 inch is all of a sudden bloated today. No possible way he could have over eaten. He will eat even though being bloated now. My cousin said he doesn't over feed the tank. Otherwise looks very healthy other than the bloating issue.
What could be wrong??

Does anyone have some suggestions to what the problem might be?

I would like some info on that too. I had a Sailfin do the same exact thing a few months back. All paramaters were good just woke up one day and he was bloated. After 2 or 3 weeks unfortunately he all of a sudden died. Never knew what happened but I hope your situation turns out better. Just keep a lookout on him and make sure he keeps eating. I think thats what finally got mine. Good luck.

I hate to say it, but if it dies, will you perform a necropsy to try to determine cause of death? Even if all you had was a razor blade and a magnifying glass, the internal organs could be inspected for inflamation and parasites.
I hope he recovers and you get to enjoy him for a long time.

The fish most likely has internal parasites.
Treat in a QT for best chance.
