Dear all

I'm getting ready to move again and the 3/4 year moving cycle means I am getting through a lot of tanks as I can't take them with me.

I thought that the best solution to this would be to design a nano tank of a size that I can actually get the packers to bring.

I am limited to size but want to re-use a lot of my current equipment so that the tank is very high spec. The tank will be primarily Zoas, Discosoma and Ricordea Yuma.

The size I was thinking of is 16x12x15 (H). The tank would be 16 inches front to back and would have a 12 inch viewing window at the front. The rear glass would be smoked to help with the illusion of depth.

The tank would be an overflow and would first flow into a fuge/DSB and from there into the sump. I would use a BubbleMagus NAC 6a as skimmer and a fluidised phosphate reactor in sump.

I am unsure of what lighting to have over this, but have a 250W HQI unit that is spare at the moment.

I am stuck over water movement as that tanks is so small. Do I go with a Vortech MP10 or Korallia nanos?

Any thoughts on the setup/advice gratefully received.

Quick change to the specs, tank measurements are going to be 12 inch wide, 16 inch front-back and 18 inches deep.

I just had an aio acyrlic tank built for me with similar dimensions 22x12x12 w/ black back. I also had the guy make me a water proof compartment for a vortech 10 (takes up less room in the tank than any other powerhead). He also uses 3/8 to 1/2 acrylic

let me know if you want his #. He is out in ca but will ship. Reasonably priced and does great work
