I'm overhauling my setup, and one of my focuses is to clean up the disaster that is the inside of my tank. I've got equipment I can't easily get to, wires and PVC everywhere, blah blah blah.

I'd love to see a few pics of people with clean, effective, organized setups under their stand. Especially from people who have a lot of stuff in a relatively little space.

TIA.

I've been tacking wires up close to the ceiling. No matter what, when cords are long and you are trying to fold them up and tie them, it still looks a little messy.

NICE!! I see you have the I Tech cone skimmer...they are made by in the LFS near me. The guy that designed them (John) is great and very knowledgeable in our hobby. How do you like your skimmer so far?

This is a good idea for a thread as I'm just setting up and as jacksonpt mentioned, my 'under the tank area' usually looks like WWIII. This will hopefully get some posts and get me some great ideas.

Ya he is. Some of the best customer service i have EVER experienced.
If anyone is second guessing buying one of these, trust me... you will be hard pressed to find a better guy/company to deal with.

The skimmer itself is pretty impressive so far. My tank is lightly stocked so far, I feed lightly, running a 200 micron felt filter sock, and it's still pulling a good amount of chocolaty dark wet skim weekly. Don't go by that pic above. I had just started it running, tank was pretty much empty, and i was playing with the settings. Skimmer was freaking out and pulling mostly water. Now it's dialed in and humming along.

Maybe a little of topic, but I was wondering if you have had any problems with mounting your BRS Reactor that way. I mounted mine in a similar fashion and the canisters weren't level, but leaned heavily to one side causing the water coming from the pump to be more forceful on one side of the canister than the other.

It just made it hard to have to GFO just barely tumbling and not boiling on one side and doing nothing on the other? I post a pic of my stand tonight when I get home.

The only problem with D2mini starting things off with those pictures...nobody's going to want to post pictures after seeing those. :D

My BRS is the same way. Curious as to what others feel about the problem.

For the BRS, i just shoved a wooden shim up in there. Easy, and nice and level tumble now. :)

Thats pretty much the exact same thing that I did, seems to be working ok I haven't had mine for very long though so time will tell.

I was just curious if I was the only person who was having that issue.

I guess it's best not to think too hard on this one...simple solutions are usually the best.

It would be nice though if the bracket were a little bit sturdier so you didn't have to put a shim there in the first place.

Agreed, but considering all the great products & service BRS has, I'll let this slide.
