Anyone have problems with these pumps? I have one running my G3 skimmer. I shut it off the other day to dose prazipro and the pump won't go back on. This pump seems really temperamental. Any hints on getting it to start again. It seems to be humming, but not pumping.

I have a Sedra 3500 on my ASM-G2. Mine would struggle starting too. When I would shut if off and then turn it back on, it would turn on, but barely. I would have to blow into the air tube to get it to fully come back on. I believe it was the impeller, the magnet tends to swell, or at least that's what I've been told. It also needed a new impeller cover, I had it for 4 years. Since it was only $25 more to get a new pump, then both the impeller and cover, I just got a new pump. I had replaced the impeller once before at about 2 years. My old pump is now an emergency backup.

Have you taken it apart an cleaned it? I could possibly jsut be fowled with junk.
