I am about to set up a 29 gallon tank, I'm open to any kind of fish, but I want more than 1 fish. Got any ideas for cool fish I could put in my tank. I have no experience other than a couple of betta fish, so keep them to easy to care for fish.

Clownfish, gobies, blennies, royal gramma, Pygmy angel, flasher or fairy wrasse (probably not with the angel, but my favorite choice)

i started a 29 almost 2 months ago. i used 32 pounds of cured live rock and all is well so far.

you should be able to keep 4-5 fish without trouble if you make sure your tank us cycled first and you add the fish slowly and allow your little eco system to adapt to the bioload. there is a tin of great info on thus biard. good luck.

oh and +1 for flasher or fairy wrasse

How about this?

1 8-line fairy wrasse
1 mccoskers flasher wrasse
1 diamond goby
1 sebae clownfish
22# live rock

Your list sounds good, except for the clownfish. Sebae clownfish get pretty aggressive when they get larger, in that small of a tank, I think the clown would harass the flasher wrasse.

What about a clarkii?

Pretty much all Clownfish are aggressive, and in such a small tank, that aggression is gonna be even worse. If I was going to try a clown and a flasher in that size tank, I'd try an A. Percula, or A. Occellaris, but even then, it's a gamble.

What could I put instead of the clown?

Black cap baslett, fridmanni dottyback, another flasher or fairy wrasse, there are alot of choices. Search around here in the "reef fishes" section, and liveaquaria/divers den. You're bound to find some you like, if you're unsure if it'll work in your tank, just ask.

How about a bicolor dottyback?
