Peppermint Shrimp Ate Frogspawn

I bought my first coral today (frogspawn) and I thought it would be great to buy a peppermint shrimp as well. Got them both acclimated in the tank, after 30 mins of watching them, the shrimp approached the frogspawn and started to nibble on it. I thought at first it was just "grooming" it but I noticed that bits and pieces of the frogspawn was coming off and was being eaten by the shrimp! Did a search here at RC and found out that they do sometimes do that (eat corals). Luckily RC gave me the info I needed and I was able to catch the critter right away. Placed him in the sump and that's where he will stay. Thanks RC!

Rare behavior. The shrimp may be hungry. Camel shrimp look a little like peps: google both and be sure which you have. A dealer making a mistake is rare too, but it could happen.
