i use a mix of 1 part kalk to 1 part ro water - mix and use a syringe to put a drop into the center of the aptasia - works like a charm, kills it instantly.......

Never tried it, but I got a much better idea for you.
I tried Copper Banded butterflys, and they starved themselves to death,
after they eat every pod they could find in the rocks.
Pepperment Shrimps worked, but my dwarf Liionfish kept eating them up.
I finally tried a Green Scat "Scatophagus argus".
Their advertised as Brackish or Fresh water.

Below is one article out of many online:
http://animal-world.com/encyclo/reef/anemones/information/Aiptasia-Pests.php
They only cost about 10 bucks, and most do eat aptasia "glass anemone"
I brought one, and slow drip aclimated hin in about 10 hours into saltwater.
He's there over a month, and if he can reach the aptasia - he'll eat it!!!

are they reef safe though? bigdog?
Also on a side note I have used red sea aptasia x and it worked pretty well.

can try boiling RO water, lemon juice, etc as well.
the only thing that has worked for me is to take the rock out and cut the darn things out of the rock, chippinng away as needed. i've even epoxied over their holes, hoping to trap it in the rock, onl to have them pop out somewhere else...

+1 for fishFry's technique. I have used Joes Juice, boiling water (PITA), but the kalk slurry is easy and effective. You can even use if for rogue mushrooms, majanos, yellow polyps, etc. I have a long feeding pipette (about 18"), that works very well and you dont' even have to put your arm in the water with that.

Peppermint shrimp work overnight! I put 2 in my tank and the next morning the aptasia were gone. I have also mixed some prestone driveway heat and water, put it in a syringe and shot them with it. Works on majano too. Boiling water didn't do it for me.

With mine, I have to say YES they are reef safe.
Never touch any corel or inverts.
A scat however loves eating Nori and macro algae.
Mine hangs out all day with the tangs, eating Nori from the clip.
are they reef safe though? bigdog?

Ugh, I feel for you guys. Those pests are something I have read about and never want to deal with. Another good reason to use a QT. I feed my tank pretty heavy and know if I had one in there it would turn into a thousand pretty quickly. I would try the kalk slurry. Kills the nem plus adds calcium to your tank. Win win. If you need some small syringes let me know.

Nothing I bought killed the aptasia, when used it looked like it was killing the aptasia but in 3 weeks the aptasia were back and actually increased in numbers. TRUE peppermint shimp did the job for me, but you have to be careful because there are alot of shrimp out there that look like peppermint shrimp. I tried every bottled and home cooked method for six months and it worked intially but the aptasia always came back.

Thanks everyone. Just wanted to see how everyone felt about joes juice. I think its a scam. If the pest splits youll just have to buy
more.

Maybe it's to do with the size of the anemone? I used it on a couple pretty small ones, they melted instantly and I haven't seen signs of 'em in at least 6 weeks.
Side note, I was under the impression joe's juice was a water and kalk mixture. Is that incorrect?

I have used Joe's Juice and it did nothing. The best way I have found is burning them with extreme high concentrations of calcium. But you have to get it in the mouth to work.
