Protein Skimmer

I have a 75 gallon DAS tank that has been used years for fresh water fish. I am planning to convert it to either a marine fish or reef tank. I want to upgrade the existing protein by adding a new skimmer in one of the intermal bays of the internal filter system. The bay is 5" x 5" x 19" deep. Does anyone have a recommendation on a skimmer that would fit this application.

I am also planning to add either T5 or T12 lighting to replace the conventional fluorescent lights. Any recommendations?

I would look into a hang-on skimmer. That compartment seems to small for any useful protein skimmer.

T5 HO lighting can support a lot more animals that T12, given a good fixture, but T12 is okay for soft corals and fish.
