Two Mp10's on my 95g tank, check out my setup before I buy

I plan on using two MP10's and 1-2 modded MJ's on my tank. I know some people will suggest that I got with mp20's to upgrade or a mp40 but I'm thinking I'll be better off with two MP10's for the following reason.

- Tank is 48" long, MP40 won't hit all spots in the tank
- I can place one MP10 on each end which would give more of a variation on seperate controllers and have less dead spots.
- 3600 gph vs 3000 on a MP40
- Total tank turnover of about 59x or 75x depending if I use one or two modded MJ's

My tank is a funny shape, I'm guessing I would be best to place them on opposite sides of the tank, or could I get away with one or both on the back panel?

I would definitely put both pumps opposite one another for the best results, I think the 2x MP10's would only be fine if you're keeping lower flow corals, if you're goal is SPS I'd recommend one MP40w and one MP10, or two MP40w's.

I will have some SPS... I was trying to keep things in the $400-$500 range so i was hoping I could get away with this... can't decide what to do. Do you think one MP40 on the skinner end of my tank(right end in the pic) would be decent for now and then add a MP10 to the left end of my tank later? Would this be better than say 3 MP10's?

It's not the answer you want to hear but I think 2 40's would be best. The flow can be adjusted down and the flow possibilities are endless when you sync 2 of them. I know, I know they are pricey and that definately has to be a major factor. My advice would be to get a 40 and a 20. then you could upgrade the 20 down the road. Or get a 40 and tough it out with a couple MJ until you can afford another 40.

So is it it more the GPH or the options on the MP40 I'd want? I guess I could probably get rid of my modded MJ's if I had two MP40's...but with my original 2 Mp10 plan I'd be at 59 or 75x turnover for my tank. Maybe I will do a 40 and keep a few of the MJ's for now...?

I would say, skip the mp10s if you can afford the MP40s 2 on a 95 would be perfect I would think. Check the classifieds, You can probably pick up 2 used mp40s for around $500-600
