I sold my RO/DI system when I stepped down to the Biocube 14 Gallon. I figured I would just buy water at the store and lug it home.
Today was the first day of that, and I'm not willing to do it anymore.
Can I use filtered tap water and condition it?
Is there a better way then spending $150 on RO/DI system for only 14 gallons.

You might be okay with a small DI-only system for that size tank. You could try, anyway. What's the TDS of your tap water?

Well, a number of vendors will sell a single DI cartridge. For example, Buckeye Field Supply lists one with a refillable cartridge for $36. If the TDS of the tap water is too high, you could buy a simple RO system and then use the DI cartridge as the back end.

Maybe buy gallon of distilled water at the store.

I am using Ozarka Distilled Water in 2.5G containers for my nano.
I tested all other available bottled water and found this to have the best water quality out of them.

Don't know how I missed this, sry.
Both Ozarka and Walmart Distilled water read 1PPM.
