I was wanting to add a second pacific blue tang to my setup. I've been told they can be kept in groups when they are small. Is it safe to keep them together if one is .5"-1" bigger than the other?

I kept 2 yellow bellies (<2") together for about a year. One became more dominant & would chase the other into the rockwork. No physical fighting just chasing. The bully got bigger & the shy one got smaller since the bold guy got all the food. Eventually lost the smaller one.
So yes it can be done, but am not sure if it's a good plan long term (1+ year).
