Has anyone used macroalgae in the in quarantine tank? I have a 29 gallon tank being used as a hospital tank for 6 fish while I treat with Cupramine. The tank has a Coralife T5 (the low output one) light on thank so I think it would get enough light. I have read that macroalgae is will not be affected by Cupramine so why not use it as a natural filter for the tank. The tank also has a Hot Magnum filter and a air driven sponge filter. The media in the Hot Magnum was in the DT sump for 2 weeks to seed it.

Any thought?

I often put some Caulerpa racemosa covered rocks in such tanks. It is a nice user of ammonia. But I do not treat with copper and I do not know what impact Cupramine will have on it.

Yes, I put macro algae in the QT tank for the same reasons.
