Well, a few weeks ago on the DD they had a pair and I was very close to buying them, but someone else snatched them up.
MY LFS has 2 that are barely over an inch and I was wondering if they were too big already to put together? Have they both already decided to be males? They are holding them for me right now until I can find out some more info on the subject.
I have searched and cannot find any info on when their "sex change" occurs in life, Could someone please help me out?
Thanks,
Chris

So, no one has any info for me or experience huh? I guess I will go pick them up this morning and try it out myself...
Thanks for looking anyway!

I think you would be in great shape, starting with two that small, good luck and keep us posted! If I were you I would just get two small ones like you plan to.

Well, i picked them up... Here are a few pics. They fuss just a little at each other but nothing too violent.
They are absolutely the best fish that I have ever had my reef. I am ashamed to say that these two guys make the third and fourth Flmae Hawks that we have had in 3 years. Both of the previous Flame Hawks died during power outages. One thing that I have noticed, they are the very first fish to go, when the power is out.
Well Here they are, about 1- 1 1/4", I just love them and their personalities, but not as much as the better half.... LOL
