Looking around fo a refractometer. They have quite price range. I found this cheaper one on Bulk reef supply. Will this do?

I'm new to these instruments and not sre what to look for.

That is the same one I use and when comparing it to some of the more expensive refractometers I think it performs just as well.

I have that one as well. It works just as well as my more expensive one that I use at work for my maintenance customers. I think as long as it is a ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) model--which that one is, you will be fine.

I believe I have the same one too. Got it used for $15, though. I would have a look on the sale forums. I am actually looking to buy another, myself.

should be fine. be sure to use the calibration fluid

I have that one and it does work OK. I don't know if it was just mine or if this is common to this unit, but it required weekly calibration. It was sometimes reading 34ppt before calibration and 36ppt after. I switched to the Milwaukee unit and I'm much happier with it.
