Has anyone successfully raised any type of Tridacnid under L.E.D. lights?

i have a buddy that switched to led's 6 months ago and he has a 18" gigas and it still looks great

I keep a derasa at the bottom of the tank and a crocea placed high in the reef since christmas under LED. Doin`fine !

Yessss! We can !!
Tropic marin Reef white coloured. They are great. Have added another 4 strips with blue LED for the actinic hour.

Yes I have had L.E.D.s for 2 years on my reef tanks.

1) 1/8 of metal halide power usage.
2) Less Heat created
3) Better Color Temperature
4) No external Ballast(all internal so no big heavy ballasts)
5) They have buttons where you can reduce the light output by half(cool
feature)
6) They have internal fans that helps move the air around.
7) Because less heat output, chiller will come on less and that will save
you energy and money.
8) LED bulbs can last for up to 10years were Regular bulbs last 6 months.
