I have a new Ritteri. He's in a tank that another Ritteri is in and is thriving. He sat up on a rock at the top of a tank for a few days, then this morning when I got up he was on a rock at the bottom of the tank.

I had a few thoughts...

1. Maybe this really isn't a Ritteri, although I'm 99% sure it is. Got it from Blue Zoo.

2. Could it be the light was too strong, and he's just adjusting?

Will he actually move where he needs to be light and flow-wise? Thanks for your help.

Pics for an id, since you have 1% doubt? It very well could be the anemone is just avoiding your lights as it may have been kept in a situation with less lighting. As far as moving where "he" needs to, I would prefer to provide it with a smooth, flat rock and start lower in the tank, in case the lights are too bright for now. You could also do the plastic flyscreen on sheets of "eggcrate"(flourescent light diffuser) trick. Putting 4 or 5 sheets and removing one ever 5 days or so.

My guess its probably reacting more to flow than light. I've seen pure white ones crawl to the rim.
