Hey guys, I was in my LFS and saw this anemone... it was only $15 so I had to get it. It kinda looks non-photosynthetic (is that even possible?)

wow..the color and pattern on the foot has me stumped. maybe you can take another pic when it opens up and we can see the mouth it will be easier to ID..right now im leaning toward long tentacle, but i have never seen one with a foot like that.

Yeah the base has a ton of bumps on it, kind of like a beadlet anemone.
It's definitely not a long tentacle anemone, just based on all the bumps covering the base of the anemone.
Somebody said it may be an American Warty Anemone, (Bunodosoma cavernata)

Not knowing the size, it looks very Actinia equina or similar within Genus.

It is definitely not a clownfish hosting species.

Looks like a cold water species.

Looks like it could be Oulactis muscosa, a southern Australian species, where it is easily collected.
